Local Tips

Late March to early April turns the cherry-tree-lined entrance path into one of Kyushu's most photographed spots. Outside sakura season the town is very quiet — ideal for a peaceful half-day from Fukuoka. The 90-min bus from Fukuoka (Asakura Bus) is the most convenient public transport.
