Local Tips

Autumn foliage peaks mid-November and turns the gorge brilliant red — one of western Japan's finest displays. The 10km riverside walking trail is largely flat and peaceful. Combine with Akiyoshidai and Akiyoshido Cave for a full Yamaguchi interior day.
