Why Visit

  • 1

4.5 million nemophila flowers cover Miharashi Hill in mid-May — one of Asia's great flower spectacles

  • 2

The same hill turns completely scarlet with 30,000 kochia bushes in mid-October

  • 3

The Pacific Ocean visible behind the flower hill creates an extraordinary blue-on-blue composition in May

Local Tips

Mid-April to early May brings the famous nemophila (baby blue eyes) carpeting the Miharashi Hill in blue — arrive by 8:30am for the park open to avoid the worst crowds. Mid-October brings kochia (burning bush) turning the same hill scarlet. The park is enormous — allow 3–4 hours. The coastal zone and amusement area are bonus sections.
