Local Tips

The gorge is famous for autumn foliage — the 100m deep valley walls turn brilliant red and orange in October. The 750m walking path follows the gorge edge with excellent viewpoints. The single-arch Ofukazawa Bridge crossing is the most dramatic vantage point. Combine with Naruko Onsen (15 min by car) for a relaxing afternoon.
