Local Tips

Temple 1 of the 88 temple Shikoku pilgrimage — the starting point for one of Buddhism's great walks. Even if not doing the full pilgrimage, seeing the white-robed henro (pilgrims) depart from here with walking sticks and bells is a moving experience. The temple itself is well-maintained and the gift shop sells excellent pilgrimage supplies and takoyaki. Naruto Whirlpools are 20 min away.
