Local Tips

A private garden created by a Meiji-era silk merchant — historic buildings relocated from Kyoto, Kamakura, and elsewhere are scattered through the landscape. The inner garden (Naien) requires separate entry but contains the most important buildings. Much less crowded than Kenroku-en or Korakuen. Combine with Yokohama Chinatown (30 min by bus) for a full Kanagawa day.
