Local Tips

The castle ruins sit on a small mountain in the centre of Tokushima city — the stone walls and moats are well-preserved. The museum covers the Hachisuka clan's history and has outstanding displays of Awa Odori festival floats. The adjacent Senshu Park has excellent cherry blossoms. Combine with the Awa Odori Hall and the 88-temple pilgrimage's first temple (Ryozenji) for a full Tokushima day.
