Local Tips

The 'castle in the sky' — Tottori Castle ruins sit on a 263m peak accessible by ropeway. The view over Tottori city and the Japan Sea coastline is excellent. The ruins are substantial — the stone terraces and walls climb in stages. Combine with the Sand Dunes and Sand Museum directly below the castle hill for a full Tottori day.
