Local Tips
Ushimado is an Aegean-themed resort area on the Seto Inland Sea coast — olive cultivation, white-washed buildings, and a Greek-inspired village feel give it a distinctive character unusual in Japan. The view of the island-dotted Seto Inland Sea from the hilltop is outstanding. Combine with Kurashiki (45 min by car) for a full Okayama coast and culture day.
